Revising assembly on Estimate for Release

Revising estimate on two purpose :

  • Revising a part which is already in production

  • Adding a new part to be purchased or made for an existing assembly.

Revising a part which is already in production.

Step 1

Make sure BOM on Genius matches with the CAD Model and its ETM properly in order to have updated Bills of Manufacturing.

Open Estimate Module> Navigate to the job provided > Double click to select the estimate.

Step 2

In this case, we are adding a rework operation to item no A81404

Select the item in the assembly to add rework > Right click > Click Add Operation

Step 3

Click the search icon > Search for rework operation > double click to select > Hit Save

Step 4

Now we can see a rework operation underneath the item.

Select the item A81404 > Click edit button

Step 5

Balloon Ref. is a field which helps us to monitor the changes on a part by using codes

Add Revision code in this format : "REV A" or "REV B" or "REV C" on balloon ref. text field > Hit Save

Step 6

Hit Save button to submit changes to estimate.

2. Adding a new part to be purchased or manufactured for an exisiting assembly.

Step 2

In this case, we are adding items A52856 (x2) and A37370 (x4) to assembly A81735.

Select the assembly to add new items under > Right click > Click Add Item

2. Adding a new part to be purchased or manufactured for an exisiting assembly.

Step 3

Search for the items needed to be purchased or manufactured.

Search for item > Update quantity respectively > Hit save button

Step 4

Now we can see items A52856 (x2) and A37370 (x4) under the assembly A81735.

Hit Save button to submit changes to estimate.
